当中国进入一个要求文化自觉与自强的时代,中国的美术理论研究和美术创作批评,同样需要立足于中国社会的现实基础和中国文化立场之上,以此来对那些为新中国美术事业做出重要贡献的美术家,对关注中国社会现实的美术创作,对中国美术传统之要义,做出深入、系统和中肯的反思、梳理与总结,并提出当代中国美术界应有的认识结论。本期我们以有所不同的方式为大家介绍的[时代人物]江丰、[本期名家]刘曙光,以及在[品评]、[心路]等栏目中介绍的美术作品,还有在[案边点滴]当中由王非结合实践来对画法的研究阐述,可以说都是在今天的文化大背景下,为一个含括了最大范围的文化理想得以实现所做出的努力。
