Sound masking is a method of professional processing of sound transmission and storage to improve the sound quality of sound detection. In order to predict the acoustic masking threshold based on the amount of audible or distorted acoustic signal being heard, a sensory model is necessary. The ear model introduced in the article simulates those parts of masking that are involved in otological processing. As in the past, psychoacoustic detection is not the only way to create a physiological model.
