Glialcellline derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) is a subfamily of transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) superfamilies that belong to the cysteine family of proteins with active homodimers. Isolated and purified from conditioned medium of rat glioma cell line B4 9, and has specific nutritional effects on dopaminergic neurons in rat midbrain. Human and rat G
