2014年12月24日,来自台湾的80条红鲷鱼“空降”常州,这是常州首次进口台湾活鱼。这批红鲷鱼“出发”前已在台湾进行了微生物与残留项目的检测。红鲷鱼到达常州后,常州出入境检验检疫局按照相关标准进行进一步的检验检疫和实验室检测。如果检验合格,此批鲷鱼将在一周后投放市场,供消费者食用。
