作为斯大林派往中国的苏俄政治顾问,鲍罗廷强有力地影响着中国大革命的历史发展。凭借“革命权威和苏俄的援助”及孙中山的极度信任和倚重,他将政治顾问的作用发挥得淋漓尽致。尽管鲍罗廷在小心谨慎的权势运作中展示出了个人的非凡才能,但国民党“以俄为师”的改组终究还是没有走上“全盘俄化”的道路。
