将莎士比亚的美学思想定为“和谐”由来已久,且具一定的影响,但将莎氏悲剧的美学特征也归为“和谐”,拙文以为值得商榷。西方,“和谐”约在公元前一世纪便趋衰微,中国美学史认为“和谐”乃“治世之音”,莎士比亚处于乱世,“乱世之音”不绝如缕。这是时代的反响,正所谓“文变染乎世情”。文艺复兴的巨子们冲破中世纪的牢笼,让“人”在否定中得到肯定与升华,这个过程是艰难而痛苦的。“路漫漫其修远兮,吾将上下而求索”,莎翁悲剧就是这种精神的艺术再现,其魅力堪称“笔落惊风雨,诗成泣鬼神”式的“崇高”。
To establish Shakespeare’s aesthetics as “harmony” has a long history and has certain influence. However, the aesthetic characteristics of Shakespeare’s tragedy are also classified as “harmony”, which is worthy of discussion. Shakespeare is in troubled times, and “the sound of troubled times” is inextricably linked. This is the response of the times. It is the so-called “cultural change that affects the world.” The Renaissance giants broke through the medieval prison to make the “people” affirmed and sublimated in negation. This process is difficult and painful. “The long way to go, I will search from top to bottom,” Shakespeare’s tragedy is an artistic reproduction of this spirit. Its charm can be described as “sublime” and “sublime”.
