Not long ago, at a press conference held in Beijing, Mr. Rodson, Vice President and Chairman of the Global Economic Policy Committee of Coney Company, announced to the reporters that China first replaced the United States as the most attractive destination for foreign direct investment (see Journal No. 39 “Survey and Statistics”). With global direct investment dropping by nearly 50%, China in 2001 attracted a total of US $ 47 billion in foreign direct investment, an increase of 15% over 2000. Why is China most favored by foreign investors? What industries have the inflow of foreign capital into China abandoned by him? What kind of trend will foreign investment infuse into China in the future?
