枇杷果肉柔软多汁,甜酸适度,风味佳良。成熟期在4月中、下旬,正值水果最缺的季节,是良好的度淡水果。枇杷主产区在浙江塘栖,江苏吴县和福建蒲田等地。我省亦有种植枇杷,多为零星种植,面积不大。品种多是果小、味酸、种子多、可食部分少的劣种,商品价值较低。 1977年我所从福建蒲田引进了“解放钟”枇杷接穗,利用本所的实生苗为砧木嫁接育苗。1978年4月定植于本所罗通西坡地,种植后第三年结果,第四年投产。几年来我们对其
