毫无疑问,很多中国人都对航空母舰非常痴迷,而中国军方也有很多人希望拥有航空母舰。这种痴迷体现在一些中国民间团体采购俄罗斯退役的“明斯克”号、“基辅”号直升机航空母舰,以及尚未建造完毕的“瓦良格”号舰队航空母舰活动上。中国一家民间公司2000 年在深圳开办了“明斯克”航空母舰主体公园,虽然这些仅仅是商业活动,但似乎都有政府支持的背景。尤其是舰队航空母舰“瓦良格”号拖带回国过程中,因通过博斯普鲁斯海峡问题而与土耳其政府的交涉过程中,中国政府积极发挥了作用。“瓦良格”号拖带回大连后,并没有按照早先公布的那样改装成水上公园,而是一直闲置在大连一个偏僻的码头,据传有中国研究部门和海军人士上舰考察。种种迹象表明,中国军方在酝酿与航空母舰相关的规划,这也是引起亚太周边国家和地区关注的重要原因。
There is no doubt that many Chinese are very obsessed with the aircraft carrier, and many people in the Chinese military also want to own an aircraft carrier. This obsession is evidenced by the fact that some Chinese civil society groups purchase Russian-decommissioned “Minsk”, “Kiev” helicopter aircraft carriers and unbuilt “Varyag” fleet aircraft carriers. A private Chinese company opened the “Minsk” aircraft carrier main park in Shenzhen in 2000. Although these are only commercial activities, they all seem to have a government-backed background. In particular, the Chinese government has played an active role in the process of negotiating with the Turkish government through the Bosporus Strait when the fleet aircraft carrier “Varyag” towed back to China. After being towed back to Dalian, the “Varyag” was not converted into a water park just as it was announced earlier. Instead, it was left idle at a remote wharf in Dalian. It was reported that Chinese research departments and naval personnel were on board the ship. There are indications that the Chinese military is planning the aircraft carrier-related planning, which is also caused by the surrounding countries and regions in Asia-Pacific major reasons for concern.
