“Phase” has two tones of “Xiang and Xiang”, with the meanings of “interaction”, “viewing”, “facial appearance” and “auxiliary”. Reading the “Xiang” sound here is confusing in meaning and usage. What I have to say is to talk about the two wrong “phases”. Let’s look at the example: The King of Qin and the courtiers look at each other. This is the first sentence from the “Lian Po Yuan Xiangru Biography.” Means: The King of Qin and the Honored Ministers look at me. I see you. No one can do anything. It is just an angry and helpless voice. The “phase” here should be interpreted as “mutually”. This usage, now quite common, is familiar to everyone.
