From August to October 1987, the author of this article participated in the 7th UNESCO Geotechnical Training Course held in Czechoslovakia. During the Czech Republic, he had the opportunity to fully contact the relevant universities, research institutes, and geology companies, and had a general understanding of the status of exploration geochemistry in Czechoslovakia. The authors found that the exploration geochemists of the Czech Republic could predict the types of potential minerals and the characteristics of bedrock based on the gold mineral combination, and can use heavy sand to measure the sources of pollution. According to a comprehensive study of the atmosphere, acid rain, soil and vegetation by Czech geologists, the direct cause of large-scale deaths of vegetation is air pollution, and surface pollution is a secondary factor.
