在中国文化中,人是宇宙万物的中心。“以人为本”、“以人为贵”的思想,古来有之。在当今时代,强调以人为本、以人为贵,珍惜和爱护每个公民的生命更有其重要的现实意义。因为搞知识经济、进行现代化建没,没有人、离开人的主观能动性则一切都无从谈起。关心人、爱惜公民的生命,既是事业赋予我们的责任,又是传统伦理道德的题中应有之义。搞经济建设要靠人,社会发展离不开人。要让以人为本、以人为贵、讲求人道在社会中形成习惯,蔚成风气。
