This paper points out that the potential for energy saving in heavy oil blending combustion lies in the further burning of coke particles in the furnace rather than from “water to oil”. This is evidenced by an industrial experimental study carried out by the author at the Aachen University of Technology in Germany. The experiment was carried out using a SKVJ60 rotor burner on a 6 tonne / hour tube boiler. Get reliable data with advanced testing tools and instruments. Then calculate the best water rate and its corresponding energy-saving benefits.
