东南亚各国为了维持经济的高速增长,相继推出高科技研究都市计划,结合大学和研究机构,发展生物和多媒体等尖端科技产业。 根据泰国政府和日本国际合作事业团(JICA)的计划,泰国政府准备投资22亿美元,在马来半岛东岸的佛丕建设面积为2400公顷、人口约2万的科学城,其中包括研究医疗、生物和环境科学的大学以及公营和私营研究机构。
In order to maintain the rapid economic growth, all Southeast Asian countries have successively launched high-tech research city plans, combining universities and research institutes to develop cutting-edge science and technology industries such as biology and multimedia. According to the plans of the Thai government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Thai government plans to invest 2.2 billion U.S. dollars to build a 2,400-hectare Science City with a population of 20,000 in Fo Pei, on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula. This includes research medical , Universities in biological and environmental sciences and public and private research institutes.
