利用“5406”拌种堆制催芽,是我省水稻上应用“5406”菌肥所取得的一项新的技术成果。1974年据不完全统计已有500万斤早稻谷种使用此法催芽,效果良好。“5406”催芽,是利用“5406”菌肥发酵中产生的热能供给种子萌发所需的温度,达到催芽的目的,比温汤催芽更为优越。1、谷种经“5406”催芽后发芽率普遍提高。据金华地区试验,“5406”催芽的平均发芽率为96.05%,而温汤催芽的平均发芽率是83.7%,提高12.35%。
