“后之视今,亦犹今之视昔”。今天我们阅读唐代张彦远的《历代名画记》与《法书要录》,感佩著者的眼光与历史功迹。张彦远自谓“有好事者得余二书,书画之事毕矣。”《法书要录》收录汉至唐书论书史相当广备,为后来者提供了不可再得的第一手资料。今天我们读到的《共和国书法大系》,记载评述历史的一个断面,虽然远不能比《法书要录》如此长的历史跨度,但遥接古人,后启来者的功劳也是值得称道的。
