The Institute of Medicinal Biotechonology is an Institute of Chinese Academyof Medical Sciences. It’s predecessor was Institute of Antibiotics and was established in 1958. Now the personnel in the Institute has reached 395 including 59professors and associate professors; 223 research associate, research assistants,senior and junior technicians; There are 11 research Departments in this Institute,namely New antibiotics, Organic Synthesis and Analysis, Biochemistry, BiologicalEngineering, Pharmacology, Oncology, Virology, Development of New Drugs,Scientific Information Service and one pilot plant.
