Experiments with anesthetized dogs showed a progressive slowing of heart rate with increasing plasma levels of verapamil, with an average PP interval prolongation of 11.4% at low concentrations (92.2 ± 9.6 ng / mL), moderate (262.0 ± 14.7 Ng / ml) and high concentrations (843.9 ± 208.8 ng / ml) were prolonged by 29.6% and 71.6%, respectively.
