在生理学教学中,给学生讲授各种概念、定义必须准确、科学、简明。我国已出版的许多生理学教材和生理学参考书给血压下的定义都是:血压是血管内血液对血管壁的侧压力。窃以为此定义不够准确地表达血压的内涵。因为血压不是表示整段血管承受的压力,而是单位面积血管壁所受的压力,即压强。其次,衡量血压的单位不是达因、牛顿等力的单位,而是毫米汞柱(mmHg),帕斯卡(kPa)等压强单位(我校最近买到的上海医疗设备厂新产血压计的检查表上同时有两种计量单位)。全国高等医学院校第二版生理学教材已注意到这个问题,该书下的定义是:血压是指血管内血液对于血管壁的侧压,也即作用于单位面积血管
