本文围绕Halliday所提出的“social accountability”这一概念,从其双重含义说明系统功能语言学的新马克思主义导向,指出系统功能语言学本质上是一个政治化的语言学理论。该理论从社会—语义的角度考察语言的特征,强调语言学的社会理据和社会责任,与适用语言学的思想密切相关。胡壮麟教授继承了Halliday的语言学思想。他本人的研究就体现出一个语言学家强烈的责任感。
Based on the concept of “social accountability ” proposed by Halliday, this article attempts to explain the neo-Marxist orientation of systematic functional linguistics from its dual meaning and points out that systematic functional linguistics is essentially a politicized linguistic theory. This theory examines the characteristics of language from the social-semantic perspective, emphasizes the social rationale and social responsibility of linguistics, and is closely related to the idea of applicable linguistics. Professor Hu Zhuanglin inherited Halliday’s linguistic thinking. His own research reflects the strong sense of responsibility of a linguist.
