台湾杜世杰先生的《红楼梦考释》是一部重要而抢眼的索隐派著作,在海内外红学界很有影响。他认为《红楼梦》涵民族大义,其主旨是“怀金悼玉”。为了证成自己的观点,杜世杰对戚蓼生《石头记序》提出的“一声两歌,一手二牍”反复引用,曲为之说;他还认为秦可卿影射董鄂妃,秦可卿房中的摆设样样都标明是帝王家,说明可卿之身份是后妃。其实,杜世杰是让虚成实,钱锺书先生早就有了精彩的解说。《红楼梦考释》的非科学性是显而易见的。
