翻译是英语专业的一门重要课程,目的在于培养学生的翻译实践能力,目前翻译市场对译者的要求逐步提高,而学校培养出来的学生在面对数量大、种类多的翻译任务时往往无法胜任。因为大多学校的翻译课程内容跟不上实际需求,仅停留在翻译理论、翻译史的讲解,英语实践练习的文章也多为散文等文学作品,涉及商务、法律等实际生活方面的内容较少。翻译课程要根据市场需求来进行改革,尽量培养出适应市场需求、综合能力强、专业知识过硬、涉猎面广泛的翻译人才。 Translation is an important course for English majors. The purpose is to cultivate students’ practical ability in translation. At present, the requirements of translators in translation market are gradually increasing. However, students trained by schools often fail to deal with a large number and variety of translation tasks competent. Because most of the translation courses in schools can not keep up with the actual needs, they only stay in translation theories and interpretations of translation history. Articles in English practice are mostly literary works such as essays, and there are few contents in practical life such as business and law. Translation courses should be based on market demand for reform, try to cultivate adapt to the market demand, comprehensive ability, excellent professional knowledge, covering a wide range of translation talents.
