[Objective]The research aimed to study the IR fingerprint spectra of Passiflora edulis. [Method] Two new indices including common peak ratio and variant peak ratio were applied and their values were calculated by means of the sequential analysis among different kinds of Passiflora edulis, in which each sample’s IR fingerprint spectra was set up and the common peak ratio and variant peak ratio sequence were arranged in order of size comparing with the other samples. [Result] The IR fingerprint spectras of Passiflora edulis from Haikou, Danzhou, Wanning and Tunchang were similar, but stiu had some difference. [Conclusion] The study can provide the scientific basis for quickly classifying the similar Passiflora edulis samples.
