The role of the endocannabinoid system in the cardiovascular system involves many aspects of blood pressure, heart rate, myocardial contractility, and the like, under physiological conditions that exert its effects on lowering blood pressure and cardiac depression primarily by stimulating the cannabinoid 1 receptor (CB1 receptor) Effect; also plays an important role in a variety of pathological conditions, including CB1 receptor activation involved in bleeding, endotoxin and cardiogenic shock, liver cirrhosis with hypotension, reduce blood pressure in hypertensive rats; cannabinoid 2 Receptor (CB2 receptor) activation prevents atherosclerosis progression and also protects the myocardium after ischemia-reperfusion, but it is unclear who plays a role in the CB1 and CB2 receptors. In-depth study of its mechanism is of far-reaching significance for the development of new drugs and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
