香港在我70年的生活历程中,并不占有重要的位置,但我却与她很有缘分。我撰写的史书《香港跨世纪的沧桑》,记述了一百多年来香港的社会变迁,而其中近半个多世纪的数次历史转折关头,我都被时代卷到了这个小岛的生活漩涡之中,作为一个旁观者耳闻目睹她的变幻。儿时的经历已在《战火中的“世外桃源”》述及,本文也可算是它的续篇吧。 Hong Kong does not occupy an important place in my life course of 70 years, but I have a lot to do with her. I wrote the history book, “The Vicissitudes of Hong Kong across the Century.” It chronicles the social changes in Hong Kong for more than 100 years.
