After more than 10 years of rapid development, China’s PVC production capacity has risen to the top of the world. By the end of 2012, its production capacity has reached 22.36 million tons. However, it goes without saying that the rapid development of production capacity has also brought disastrous consequences: overcapacity has led to a serious imbalance in supply and demand, and equipment utilization rates of less than 60% have led to inefficiencies in the industry. Disorderly competition has led to price wars and long-term price downturns. General loss. Throughout the downturn in the domestic PVC market, the inherent weak downstream demand, but in the final analysis is due to the structural contradictions of the industry itself. In addition to serious overcapacity, the main crux of the problem lies in the low grade of products, the serious homogeneity and the disagreement in the division of labor between regions, which eventually disrupted the market order.
