袁运甫(中央工艺美术学院教授): 秦龙是我所熟悉的很有特色的一个画家。在他展出的作品中,有一张画(《花艳草俗》)是线描、写意的水墨和重彩,旁边还有其他材料,包括沙子,表现他的艺术过程和自己的思考,这个过程应该发挥这些因素在作品中综合的表现力。我们能看到艺术家对自己艺术追求的那些元素,公开的面向观众,使他们了解。我看了他的作品,三个大厅,我很惊讶!个人作品展,而且是重彩为主,这个劳动是不可想象的,这和大写意不同,而且他都有很深刻的主题和思考,不是习作性的,而是真正的创作,长期的一种考虑,最后在作品中间完满的体现。我觉得这个展览能够体现秦龙这些年来默默耕耘在他的叫做″西府草庐″的画室中的成就。农民在种地,他在种画,一张一张是这样过来的,看了以后非常有感触,不得不使我想到他种画的品种,这个优化品种是怎么过来的,是怎样一个学习和研究的过程。对他们这一批画家的出现,联系到早期中央美院附中的教育,很值得今天我们美术教育的思考。附中的艺术教育,老丁校长是有功绩的,对于中国美术的发展带来重要的影响,也带来我们今天的反思,
