昆明-40轮式拖拉机是云南省主要农机动力之一,但同它配套的农机具目前还很少。其中耕整地农具已引进了保定四铧犁和通25水田犁,它们只适于耕疏松的旱地和水田,而用来耕粘重、干硬的土地,则存在牵引阻力大,打滑严重,入土和耕作稳定性差,挂草、堵泥等问题。为此,云南省农机所等单位根据省内土质一般比较粘重的自然特点和拖拉机牵引力的限度,设计了同昆明-40拖拉机配套的1LD-230重型二铧犁。该犁自一九七八年,经过冬春两季耕作741亩性能试验和生产考核,证明该犁性能良好,达到了设计任务书的要求。一九七九年五月,该犁通过了技术鉴定。1LD-230悬挂重型犁适应于土壤比阻为0.5～0.9公斤力/厘米~2的稻、麦(豆)板田和旱地的耕翻作业。
