天主教有着悠久的历史。新中国成立以后,对于宗教信仰的自由有了法律的保护,支持和鼓励宗教界信教群众积极参加国家的建设。保定是一座有着3000年悠久历史的城市,有着丰富的文化底蕴。明洪武时期在保定建立直隶总督府,意在保卫大都。天主教文化也早已融入了保定市的社会文化之中。宗教音乐是宗教礼仪中不可或缺的一部分。宗教音乐用来传播教义,也运用音乐来赞颂上帝,渐渐的成为一种西方音乐艺术。
Catholicism has a long history. After the founding of New China, the freedom of religious belief has the legal protection, support and encourage religious communities actively participate in the construction of the country. Baoding is a city with a long history of 3,000 years and rich cultural heritage. Ming Hongwu period in Baoding established Chihli governor house, intended to defend the capital. Catholic culture has long been integrated into Baoding’s social culture. Religious music is an integral part of religious etiquette. Religious music is used to spread the doctrine. It also uses music to praise God and gradually becomes a western musical art.
