Whether it is out of concern for health or out of the pursuit of taste, people seem to “drink” more and more elegantly today as they “eating” more and more refined. Coca-Cola, once popular, was no longer the only choice for ordinary people. The array of fruit juices on supermarket shelves was full of temptations for consumers. At present, liquid beverages on the market generally include five categories of carbonated beverages, fruit juice beverages, packaged tea beverages, liquid milk, and yoghurt-lactic acid (bacterial) beverages. The CCS Survey and Consultation Center (CVSC) conducted the sixth National Consumer Survey of Cities (NCS’2000) in 35 large and medium-sized cities across the country in October 2000 to address the marketing environment and competition of the above five categories of beverages.
