The film Treatment is a very vivid interpretation of the misunderstanding and miscommunication between Americans and Chinese.Often Chinese people have a very tough journey on the way to be a real American while living overseas during which they suffer a lot,for instance the discrimination from the mainstream culture and the despise delivered by the WASP culture because of their language and culture differences.This paper is tying to dig out the underlying reasons to explain the clashes between both sides from the perspective of intercultural communication.Hopefully through the brief analysis people can get a better understanding of the difference caused due to cultural reasons rather than personal levels.The research methodology employed here is comparative study.
