新疆作为中国最大的省区,占到了全中国国土面积的1/6,有着美丽动人的自然色和人文地貌。在这样的大环境影响下新疆题材的油画创作逐渐形成了一种特有的气质和审美,使得新疆题材的油画创作不同于内地的任何风格,在新疆油画发展历程中少数民族题材的油画一直都被新疆画家广为关注,作为首要的油画创作题材去表现。这些题材具备着深厚的文化内涵,以及地域性、民族性、宗教性等特征。将这些少数民族主题的题材进行分析和研究是值得我们思考和解决的问题。
