油茶在我省主要产区是文山州和红河州,分布海拔在1800米以下,现已引种至楚雄、沾益、腾冲、大关、江城、昆明等地。过去一般认为在昆明不宜发展。我所自1962年引种后也未给予重视,疏于管理,植株生长缓慢、衰弱,很少结实。73年开始进行抚育管理,春季浇水一次,施人粪尿一次,夏季除草松土一次,当年就有二株结果;74年浇水一次,施人粪尿一次,除草二次,有九株结果,其中一株收果250个;75年仍如上述抚育管理,植株生长良好,全部开花结果,且结果丰盛,
