The earliest submarine pipeline was built in the Gulf of Mexico in 1947, with a water depth of 6 to 7 meters and is still in use. The deepest submarine pipeline is located between Tunisia and Italy’s Sicily Island, across the Mediterranean Sea, at the deepest point of 603m.
