一、研究与开发支出比较从最新统计数据来看,北美地区仍然是世界上科学技术实力最强的地区,占全世界研究与开发(R&D)支出的36.7%(见表1).欧洲居第二位,占27.8%.接下来是亚洲工业化国家和地区(日本、台湾、新加坡、韩国、印度尼西亚、马来西亚、菲律宾和泰国),占20.2%.这三个地区加起来,在全世界研究与开发总经费支出中所占比例近85%.就其他地区来看,中国已成为世界科学舞台上的重要一员,所占世界份额为4.3%.紧随其后的是拉丁美洲(3.6%)和印度(2.1%).剩余地区总共所占世界份额为5.
