鉴于塞尚对现代艺术史的贡献,人们美誉他为“现代艺术之父”。正是他在形与色的关系上取得突破性进展,使得现代艺术发生了翻天覆地的变化。本文以其取得的成就之一——以色塑形来着手研究,从塞尚如何学习并继承先辈大师的艺术,如何从大师身影中走出,如何观察自然并如何以眼中色彩来塑造具有几何形体感的客观自然物象等方面,探讨塞尚何以承传统艺术而开现代艺术先河。
