黄苗子1913年生于广东中山市,小学就读于香港。受家庭影响,喜爱诗画文艺,幼时从邓尔雅学书。后在上海从事美术漫画活动,并任上海大众出版社编辑;1938年以后,在广州、重庆、上海等地工作及从事文艺活动;1950年后定居北京;历任中国文学艺术界联合委员会委员、中国书法家协会常务理事、中国美术家协会理事等职务;其作品多次在国内外展出,并有多本著作行世。2004年5月,中国美术家协会授予他“卓有成就的美术史论家”称号。就黄苗子的艺术人生,我们采访了他的学生王亚雄。 Huang Miaozi was born in 1913 in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, primary school in Hong Kong. Affected by the family, I love poetry and literature, when I was young, I learned from Deng Erya. After he was engaged in art manga in Shanghai and was editor of Shanghai Volkswagen Press. After 1938 he worked and performed literary and art activities in Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai and other places. He settled in Beijing after 1950, and served successively as a member of the Joint Committee of Chinese Literary and Art Circles, Calligraphers Association executive director, director of the Chinese Artists Association and other duties; his works have been exhibited at home and abroad on many occasions, and many books in the world. In May 2004, the Chinese Artists Association awarded him the title of “accomplished art historian”. On the art of Huang Miaozi’s life, we interviewed his student Wang Yaxiong.
