“卷叶白”是以 IR_8为材料,利用中子辐射诱变,于1971年育成的早稻中熟新品种。中子通量为10~(12)n/cm~2。该品种株叶型优异,光能利用好,丰产性强,较抗稻瘟病,在福建省不同生态类型的多点试种中,都表现高产、抗病,一般大面积亩产750—800斤,高的上千斤。1975、1976两年参加全省水稻联合区域试验,均名列前茅,曾获得一九七八年福建省科学成果奖。1979年推广面积约20万亩左右,为本省部份地区早稻当家种之一。1975年参加全省早稻区域试验,共20个试点,其中18个点表现增产,增产幅度为1.0—54.7%,1个点平产,1个点减产(1.4%)。平均亩产789.4斤,比对照品种广陆矮4号增加15.9%,比珍汕97增产
