梅岭铜矿产在中奥陶统荒草坡群大柳沟组第二—三岩性段中酸性火山岩系内,受火山通道构造与断裂构造复合控制,铜矿体具穿层性,呈近水平似层状矿体和陡倾斜脉状薄矿体2类,是矿头埋深22~40m及其以下的盲矿体。铜矿石为细脉浸染状以及块状矿石。铜矿床类型为中低温火山热液型铜矿。
The Meiling copper deposit is controlled by volcanic channel structure and fault structure in the middle-acidic volcanic rock series of the second-third lithological segment of the Daliugou Formation in the Middle Ordovician Huangcaopeng Group. The copper ore body is stratified and nearly horizontal Lamellar ore bodies and steeply inclined vein-shaped thin ore bodies are two types of blind ore bodies with a head depth of 22-40 m and below. Copper ore veinlets and disseminated massive ore. The copper deposit type is medium and low temperature volcanic hydrothermal copper deposit.
