Ethnically called “the roof of Africa”, Ethiopia is located on the East African Plateau southwest of the Red Sea. It borders Djibouti and Somalia in the east, borders Sudan in the west, Kenya in the south, and Eritrea in the north. The territory covers an area of 1,122,000 km2.
