八一林隧洞是引滦入还输水工程的重要建筑物,设计断面为9.00×7.50(宽×高)m~2的圆弧拱直墙体型,洞线设计长度1,940m,根据洞脸所处岩体边坡的工程特性,提出提前进洞的方案。按此方案施工,进口在风化破碎严重的高边坡下,基本没有进行石方明挖,提前25.3m进洞,节约石方明挖5万余立方米,节省投资70余万元;出口在埋深仅9m的岩坡上,提前53m进洞,节约4万多立方米的明挖石方量,节省投资50万元。因此,八一林隧洞的实际开挖长度为2,018.3m。
