胡政之在《季鸾文存》的序中提到:“季鸾是一位新闻记者,中国的新闻事业尚在文人论政的阶段,季鸾就是一个文人论政的典型。”[1]作为一名报人,张季鸾以“新闻救国”为理想,凭借手中的笔,以报刊社论为载体,针砭时弊,议论国事,坦陈时政,分析变局,其言论不仅奠定和提高了《大公报》的社会地位,也站在当时国内舆论的制高点上,每每对当局或时局产生直接的、重要的影响。 Hu Zhengzhi mentioned in the preface to the “Jianye Wencun”: “Ji Yifu is a journalist. His remarks not only laid down and raised “Ta Kung Pao” Social status, but also standing on the commanding height of the domestic public opinion at that time, often have a direct and important impact on the authorities or the current situation.
