先天性睑裂狭小症除睑裂长度、宽度明显狭小外多伴有上睑下垂、内眦赘皮,是与遗传有关的先天性双侧性眼病。本症患者鼻梁扁平,两眼内眦间距增宽可达40～50mm(正常平均值为33.29mm),故又名内眦远距。本症占先天性上睑下垂患者之3%,临床上并非罕见。患者常为此种之特殊外貌而到处求医,以图改善外容。目前有关上睑下垂、内眦赘皮及内眦远距之矫正方法较多,但需多次手术方能达到整容之目的,未见通过一次手
