According to the internal and external factors controlling the development of fractures, a three-dimensional finite element numerical simulation method for quantitatively predicting the fracture distribution in low permeability oil and gas reservoirs is proposed. Based on the brittle fracture theory of rocks, based on the establishment of reasonable geological models, mechanical models and mathematical models, the spatial distribution of fractures can be quantitatively predicted through the numerical simulation of structural stress field combined with the actual rock failure criterion . The application and practice of several oilfields have proved that this method has a high coincidence rate and is of great significance to the exploration of concealed oilfields.
