On May 19 this year, China and the EU signed a bilateral agreement on China’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Beijing. By now, China has completed bilateral negotiations with the United States and other major Western countries on accession to the WTO. There are indications that China has entered the WTO, the largest multilateral multilateral trade organization in the world today, not far off. With the acceleration of the process of China’s accession to the WTO, there are many discussions in the community about whether “WTO accession” will affect China’s economic development, especially its opening up to the financial industry, and will not endanger China’s economic security and cause financial risks. This also raises new requirements and issues for media-related financial reporting. China’s Financial Industry: Facing Challenges and Competitive Pressure Once China accedes to the WTO, national treatment must be implemented according to the requirements of the WTO. The restrictions on foreign-funded banks and foreign-funded insurance companies in business scope, institutional setup and service targets should be gradually reduced and eliminated. China The financial market will be expanded to a greater extent. Under such circumstances, China’s financial industry will face enormous pressure of competition and challenges directly from foreign financial institutions.
