“Stroboscopie” derives from the Greek words “Strepho” and “skopein (record)”, which shows that the meaning of “stro-boscopie” is to record cyclical movements. The first introduction and use of dynamic mirrors was performed by the physicist Plateau in 1829, the first time a cadaver was examined by dynamic microscope in 1852; the first time Ortel was used to examine the living throat in 1878. After the continuous improvement, until now dynamic mirror has been used to film and measure the length of the vocal cords. The airflow from the lung creates pressure under the vocal cords, and when the airflow pressure exceeds the vocal cords tension, the ligaments of the vocal cords open, at which point due to the high velocity of the airflow the pressure on the glottis is much greater
