The “theoretical developments” hosted by the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China were the earliest internal journals founded in China after the smashing of the “gang of four”. The article “Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth,” published in the 60th issue of the journal, was published as an article by Guangming Daily special commentator, triggering a historic discussion of the truth standard. The journal adheres to the principle of linking theory closely with practice, conscientiously studying and promoting the third volume of the “Deng Xiaoping’s Literary Selections,” and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party, organizing and publishing articles on the actual conditions of the real life and leading cadres, including various departments of the Central Government Leading comrades in the Central Party School’s important speech, leading cadres around the school and theoretical workers writing articles, editorial department editorial comment
