出版业是文化传播的主要载体,也是一个国家软实力的重要体现。近几年来,中国图书走出去取得了一些可喜的成就,但这仍然无法否认我国出版业长期存在的贸易逆差和中国图书在欧美影响力非常有限的现状。科幻小说《三体》的成功是一个例外,从它2014年11月在美国上市以来便获得美国社会尤其是科幻界的高度关注,并于今年获得美国科幻“星云奖”的提名,最终斩获“雨果奖”最佳长篇小说奖,海外销量也在持续攀升。本文主要从读者评论的角度剖析《三体》英文版在美国的成功原因,以图丰富中国图书走出去的理论研究,为中国图书开拓海外市场提供参考。
Publishing industry is the main carrier of cultural transmission, but also an important manifestation of the soft power of a country. In recent years, some tremendous achievements have been made in China’s books going abroad. However, this still can not deny the long-standing trade deficit in China’s publishing industry and the very limited influence of Chinese books in Europe and the United States. An exception is the success of the science fiction “Three-Body”, which has drawn great attention from the American society, especially the science fiction community since its listing in the United States in November 2014 and was nominated this year for the United States Science Fiction / “Nebula Award” Gain “Hugo Award” Best Novel Award, overseas sales are also continuing to rise. This paper mainly analyzes the reasons for the success of the English version of “Three-Body” in the United States from the perspective of readers’ comments in order to enrich the theoretical study of Chinese books going abroad and provide a reference for Chinese books to open up overseas markets.
