Jack London is one of the most translated American writers in our country, but compared with a large number of translated texts, there are few domestic achievements in the study of Jack London, which makes a huge contrast. The prevailing view of his work “Chinatown” is that its description of the Chinese is a vilification, with a strong racist color. However, under the guidance of Hermeneutics, Reception Aesthetics and Comparative Literature Imageology, the phenomenon of over-interpretation and deconstruction exists in Jack London’s “Chinaan”, which is actually a kind of mistake by Chinese recipients in a specific historical and cultural context read. The irony and lashing of the white ruling class by the “Chinaman” and the writing of the true living conditions of overseas Chinese are the real intention of writing by Jack London.
