The Siberian Railway is a modern gateway to Europe, Russia and the Far East. The construction of the railway has far-reaching strategic significance for Russia’s economy, politics and diplomacy. Wittur, founder of the Siberian Railway, not only detailed the blueprint of the railway, but also personally facilitated its concrete construction. The Trans-Siberian Railway is a reflection of the transformation of Russia’s national development strategy and an expression of Viter’s ideas.
